Winter Book Study: Sacred Resistance

Sacred Resistance by Rev. Ginger Gaines-Cirelli

January 27, February 3, 10, 17
6:30-8:00pm PT/7:30-9:00pm MT

If you are wondering what justice seekers can do about the state of our country in these times, join us for our next online book study. The book is Sacred Resistance, by Rev Ginger Gaines-Cirelli. We will meet on four Tuesdays beginning January 27 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm Pacific time/7:30 to 9:00 pm Mountain time.

Rev. Ginger is the current pastor of Foundry UMC in Washington, DC, and is a well-known advocate for justice. She was recently part of an NPR story with clergy of other faiths about how they are addressing their congregations in light of current events. She began writing this book in 2016 at the start of President Trump’s first term. She is clear that resistance to all that is counter to the teachings of Jesus is our work in all times and that resistance is much more than attending protest marches. Everyone will be able to find inspiration and practical ideas about how we live our lives in a spirit of sacred resistance.
